Large Format Tiles

1. Ensure your subfloor is solid, flat, and dry. If it isn’t already, a levelling compound can create an even floor. 
2. Mix adhesive and apply to the floor with the flat side of a trowel.
3. Make ridges in the adhesive using your trowel.
4. Apply adhesive to the back of the tile for added sturdiness.
5. Lay the tiles, making sure they’re flat with a spirit level.
6. Tap tiles into place with a rubber mallet.
7. Grout your tiles to secure them.

1. Plaster your wall to ensure a smooth surface, assuming it is partially flat.
2. Working from the centre, lightly mark your layout lines with a pencil.
3. Apply adhesive to your wall with the flat side of a trowel.
4. Create ridges with the notched side of the trowel.
5. Apply adhesive to the back of your large format tiles.
6. Press the tile against the wall, sliding down to collapse the ridges. 
7. Use a tile levelling system to ensure no tiles protrude further than the others.
8. Grout your large format tiles to secure them.

If you need to cut or reshape your porcelain paving slabs, this can be easily done by following the steps below.

1. Measure and mark the section of the porcelain slab you want to remove using a wax pencil.
2. Attach a porcelain cutting blade to your angle grinder, ensuring it is securely fitted. A continuous rim blade will provide the smoothest cut.
3. After cutting your slab, add a chamfer (transitional edge) to minimise the risk of chipping.
4. Clean up and dispose of the porcelain scraps.
5. You can now proceed with laying your paving.
