Product Information

As a vital component of our comprehensive outdoor design offerings, the Kandla Grey Sandstone Bullnosed Garden Steps are expertly crafted to integrate with matching paving, coping, and edging stones. This harmonious blend of elements creates a unified, aesthetically pleasing outdoor space that is both practical and visually appealing.

The Kandla Grey Sandstone Bullnosed Garden Steps are particularly notable for their sandblasted surface. This specific finishing technique not only provides a smooth, comfortable texture underfoot but also significantly enhances the slip-resistance of the steps. This makes them an ideal choice for high-traffic areas such as entrances and pool surrounds, where safety is paramount. The added grip provided by the sandblasted surface aids in reducing potential slips and falls, particularly in damp or wet conditions.

In addition to their functional advantages, these garden steps also boast an elegant bull-nosed front edge. This design detail, characterized by its rounded and smooth finish, imparts a timeless sophistication to the steps, enhancing their overall aesthetic appeal.

The design of the Kandla Grey Sandstone Bullnosed Garden Steps is intended to seamlessly complement our range of paving solutions. The choice of a matching bullnose step can create a cohesive look across your outdoor space, effortlessly blending the various elements of your exterior design. By integrating these steps with our paving range, you can achieve an outdoor space that is not just functional but also exudes elegance and refinement.

We have tried to capture the products colour and have been as accurate as photography will allow us. We do encourage you to also view a sample of this product or come and visit one of our many displays. If you have any questions about the variation, then please contact us and we will do our very best to assist. We want you to be 100% satisfied but we cannot help you if you have laid this product. Porcelain

To ensure consistency in texture and batch color for your porcelain paving project, we strongly advise placing your entire order at once. If your current project is an extension of a previous one, kindly get in touch with us. We’re more than willing to discuss the most optimal options to ensure an ideal match.

For your convenience and future reference, we advise maintaining a record of the ‘batch color code’ associated with your delivered porcelain. This  piece of information can be located on the porcelain’s packaging box, typically appearing as a number followed by a letter, or a six-digit number. Keeping track of this code will greatly facilitate your reordering process, ensuring a consistent match if additional stock is required in the future.

Regarding samples, please be aware that there may be slight colour variances between the sample provided and the final product, owing to differences in batch shades. If you’re looking to place an immediate order, we recommend requesting a sample from our current stock. This way, we can reserve your order to guarantee the best possible match for your project.

Aftercare

A Guide on After Care for Natural Stone Paving

Regular maintenance is essential to keep your paving pristine and attractive. As a baseline, we recommend thoroughly washing paved areas three or four times a year. Cleaning couldn’t be simpler – just use warm soapy water and brush off with a stiff broom.

Over the years, it is normal for patio slabs to become dirty, gather moss and lose their aesthetic appeal. To maintain the look of your patio, it should be jet washed a minimum once a year. This is help cut down the accumulation of algae, dirt and mildew built up. For gardens that are shaded and/or located under trees or any other vegetation, cleaning is likely to be required more often.

Jet washing is often a quick and relatively easy method.  There are professional companies that carry out these services, but if you are planning to carry out this procedure yourself, then take the utmost care and seek professional advice before commencing. Whilst most Natural Stone products can withstand the force of domestic high-pressure washers, care must be taken when cleaning. Be sure not to spray too close to the surface of the stone and direct the jet at a maximum of 30 degrees to the surface – Never direct the jet at 90 degrees. Take extra care when cleaning near joints, as excessive pressure may dislodge the jointing compound. For cleaning joints, please seek advice on cleaning methods from the manufacturers of the jointing compound used.

For more stubborn marks or discolouration, a cleaning solution may be needed to remove them, restoring the paving back to its former glory. We stock a full range of Lithofin after care and cleaning products, therefore we can literally offer solutions for most of your requirements. We would reccomend the following cleaners for Natural Stone Bero and Power clean.

Please take care when using cleaners and sealers on Natural Stone paving:
